Piece has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. Your goals, the amounts you set aside and your notes never leave your iPhone unless you export them yourself.

01Information we collect
None. We do not collect, receive, store or sell any personal information through Piece. The app does not create accounts, has no sign-in and does not send your data to us or to anyone else. We don't operate servers for the app.
Piece never asks for:
- your name, email address or phone number (an optional display name you type in Profile stays on your iPhone);
- your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone;
- bank, card or account details. Piece cannot connect to a bank and never moves real money. It only records the amounts you type in.
02Data stored on your iPhone
Everything you enter is kept only in the app's own protected storage on your device. We have no access to it.

Like other app data, this information may be included in the backups of your iPhone (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have them turned on. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you under your Apple Account settings; we cannot see or access them.
03Reminders & notifications
Saving reminders and "one week left" alerts for target dates are optional. If you turn them on, iOS asks for your permission, and the notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone by iOS. Their content (for example, a goal's name and the amount still open) is generated on the device and is never sent to us. You can turn them off at any time in Piece or in the Settings app.
04Exports & sharing
When you choose Data Export, Piece creates a JSON or CSV file on your iPhone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where the file goes next (Files, Mail, AirDrop or another app) is entirely your choice and is governed by that destination's own privacy practices. We never receive a copy.
05Analytics, advertising & tracking
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs are built into Piece.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and no data brokers.
- No third-party code that collects data.
06Apple services
Piece is distributed through Apple's App Store. When you download the app or choose "Rate Piece", Apple handles the transaction and the rating prompt under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as crash counts or installs). These statistics do not identify you.
07Deleting your data
You are in full control:
- Delete All Data in Profile permanently removes every goal, piece and saving from your iPhone.
- Reset Progress keeps your goals but clears all savings; Remove Demo Goals clears the example goals.
- Deleting the Piece app removes all of its data from your device.
08When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to improve Piece. We do not share it with third parties, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
09This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Its fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request under Google's Privacy Policy. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
10Children
Piece isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone in that age group. Because the app collects no personal information at all, no data about a child is ever sent to us.
11Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because Piece keeps your data only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, including email you've sent us, contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
